IBC2021 Accelerators
One of the major projects for the latter half of 2021 was a detailed look at each of the IBC2021 Accelerator projects for IBC365.
Here’s a bit from the (ghosted) intro: “Following two highly successful years, the IBC Accelerator Media Innovation Programme has returned during 2021, once more providing a framework for fast-track innovation. Eight new projects have been selected to benefit from its multi-company project-based approach, covering everything from 5G to Sustainability as the companies involved collaborate to address and solve some of the more complex business and technology challenges that face the media and entertainment industries.”
Perhaps what’s remarkable about these projects is that the Accelerators do exactly what it says on the tin. 85 companies were involved all in all in the 2021 project and, if the people I spoke to while detailing them were anything to go by, there’s an infectious enthusiasm for them and a real appetite for this sort of pan-industry working.
Links to the individual projects and their stories are below. These are only the preview articles by the way, which were published during a period stretching from August through to December; each project also has had its own presentation and POC session - a denouement if you will - originally scheduled for the show itself in Amsterdam but pivoted to online and made available / soon to be made available on IBC Digital.
